Rick has been in the travel industry for many years, sustaining multiple changes in management and technology.Throughout these years, he has managed to stay employed and relevant.Rick started his career working for the airlines (Continental, Aloha and Mid Pacific) and then transitioned to working for a wholesaler called United Vacations, a subsidiary of United Airlines. After that, he took a job in the Hotel Industry, representing four Resorts in Hawaii, moved oceans and ran the office for the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau, then the El Conquistador Resort.Rick’s current employer is the San Francisco Travel Association (CVB) and he has been at this position for the past 10 years. What is most interesting about his career is that he did all of this while residing in a suburb of Chicago. My advice to all is that each move I made had a strategic rationale behind it.His resume revealed to a potential employer, that he has a proven track record of success and is willing to take on additional responsibilities to grow his career.Rick looks forward to sharing all that he has learned throughout his career with those willing to share what they have learned. No matter how long you have been in this business.
